Metamorphosis - sound art film | 2016 Winter session in RISD
This idea was inspired by the book ‘’ The Metamorphosis’’ of Franz Kafka. I created an audio first, the structure of film follows the rhythm in the audio and the 3 phrases ( alienation, transformation, relieve) of the whole story.
This book is a metaphor for human phenomenon in real life, and I interpreted it visually in a poetic way.

Lucid Dreaming - Projection Mapping | 2015 Fall in RISD
Cinemagraphs - which are still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement that can provide multiple layers in the film. By using attributes of it, create the illusion that makes viewers feel like in their lucid dreaming period. Thus, they can control movement of characters in the image.

Fantasy Dream - Projection mapping on fabrication | 2015 Final Presentation in RISD
My initial idea is to create the environment about dreaming. I think we could have time travel through dreaming, went to the past or go to the future and even connect to the unknown world, kind of parallel worlds. I hope this artwork could evoke viewers personal dream experiences and feel empathy through it. The structure shape symbolises the wormhole, and I projected my fantasy dream on it. When people want to look at the film and image clearly, they need to closer to the centre of the structure. Similar to the black hole, where is full of unknown but powerful force that attract and absorb people. I suspend my structure in the mid-air, creating double image layers either on the structure and on the wall. This means there are multiple layers in dream.
Parallel Rooms - experimental film | 2014
Inspired by parallel universes, which is a hypothetical self-contained separate reality co-existing with one's own. There are many different scenes in my artwork, each symbolizes a single variant individual of our own. Through reversing the time flow, we may change the past or future, even create a world that we don’t exist. For example, if you go back to the past and kill your father before he had sexual intercourse with your mother, consequently you will not be born in the future. However your existence is an objective fact, therefore two possible parallel universes may derive:
A universe which you exist — you didn’t change the past or your father didn’t die
A universe which you never exist — your father died
A universe which you exist — you didn’t change the past or your father didn’t die
A universe which you never exist — your father died
